Our Core Values:

42 And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. 43 And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. 44 And all who believed were together and had all things in common. 45 And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. 46 And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.

                                                                                                                                         —Acts 2:42-47

Biblical Authority

"they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching..."

The Bible is the authority over our lives as individuals and over our church corporately. We must devote ourselves to studying the Scriptures, understanding the Scriptures, memorizing the Scriptures, meditating on the Scriptures, and obeying the Scriptures.

Authentic Community

"and to the fellowship..."

People were made to be in relationship with God and with others. We desire to connect people with God and with other believers for the purpose of sharing life together. We need to be encouraged by others. We need to be challenged by others. We need to be held accountable as well. All of this takes place within the context of relationships called community.

Meaningful Worship

"to the breaking of bread..."

The first church was Jewish in nature and the defining mark of their worship as Christians was the Lord’s Supper. Christian worship was different because they celebrated Communion. We desire to be a faith family that worships with passionate definition as well. Worship ought to be a time of active participation with God’s people as they express God’s praise.

Consistent Prayer

"and to prayer..."

The early church prayed and so should we. Prayer is one of the hardest habits to form in the Christian life but it is one of the most essential. We desire to be a church that prays consistently both in principle and in practice.

Treasuring People

"distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need."

We all have the selfish tendency toward loving things and using people. We desire instead to love people and use things. We desire to be a church that selflessly gives of itself for the betterment of others, understanding that God has blessed us so that we might give away that blessing.

Transformed Attitude

"with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people."

While Christ has changed our lives forever, we continue to live in difficult circumstances in this world. Life is hard, but we desire to be a people that reflect the promise and hope of our Savior with an attitude of gladness, generosity, and encouragement.

Missional Living

"And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved."

Christ has called us to go and make disciples of all people. We desire to be missionaries every day and at every place in which we live, work, rest, and play. We desire to be the tools that God will use to bring more people into relationship with Himself.
