We are thankful and excited to be reopening our church facility for in-person worship gatherings very soon! On Sundays, beginning May 17, we will offer two times for worship, 8:30am and 10:15am. On Wednesdays, beginning May 20, we will offer our Prayer Gathering & Bible Study at 6:00pm. All ages are invited to attend these services. We will be providing nursery for infants. Following guidelines provided by the Alabama Department of Public Health, we will maintain a safe environment that will reduce the risk for the spread of infection of coronavirus. For a full explanation of appropriate steps we have taken to ensure your safety, and so that you may know what to expect, you can view the following documents. Of course, much of our safety will depend upon each of us doing our own part. If you are not well, or if you are uneasy about participating in a large gathering, please stay home and continue viewing our live stream services. We look forward to engaging and interacting with one another again in our worship gatherings!
Three words describe not only the mission of Moundville Baptist Church
but also the process by which we journey toward becoming fully functional followers of Jesus Christ.
LOVE.—We are a people committed to the Great Commandment (Mark 12:28-31) of loving our Lord with all of our hearts, souls, minds, and strength. We are equally devoted to loving one another in the manner to which we have been called. This can only be practiced as we are daily walking in the love God has for us as given through Jesus Christ.
LIVE.—We are a people committed to living for God, understanding that Christ has given us new life and now lives through us (Galatians 2:20). We are devoted together in this journey of faith to becoming all that God intends to make us, living the abundant life to which we have been called.
LEAD.—We are committed to the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) of leading people to become fully devoted disciples of Jesus Christ. We will lead by praying, giving, serving, and going to impact our world with the gospel of Jesus Christ, both locally and globally.
