Following the horrific visions of the dragon and the two beasts in Revelation 12-13, the Apostle John now describes God’s response to their evil attempts to depose His rule. Provided with a general overview of specific events yet to be detailed, we read of an end which is still to be realized, but is unquestionably inevitable. Indoctrinated by the idea that we must “live for the now”, this passage starkly encourages faithfulness to Christ and warns against spiritual indifference.
